vision & mission
1. Ensuring the necessary health services of the people.
2. Conducting primary medical services for citizens through outdoor departments/union sub-health centers of this Upazilla.
3. Providing regular health education to primary and secondary school students through 'Junior Doctors'.
4. Regular inspection, monitoring and supervision of all government and non-government diagnostic centers, dental clinics, NGOs associated with health activities at upazila level to ensure the quality of health services.
5. Assistance in the health examination of the victims who have filed a case from the police station of this Upazila.
6. Ensure storage and distribution of medicines, other items in all government health institutions.
7. Ensure provision of public health services through inspection, monitoring and supervision of all field level activities including EPI, tuberculosis control, communicable disease control, non-communicable disease control, nutrition activities, arsenicosis treatment.
8. Provision of health services during disaster/epidemic or public health emergencies.
9. Forming medical teams in various local/national sports and providing health services as per the needs of various institutions.
10. Continuing the health education program aimed at changing the behavior of the people.
11. Raising public awareness including taking measures to control mosquitoes, flies, viral insect-borne diseases (malaria, filaria, dengue, black fever, chikungunya etc.).
12. Coordinating and assisting the health department in government and non-government organizations.
13. Creating awareness among people by observing various national and international days including AIDS, tobacco and smoking control.
14. Continue regular inspection activities to prevent food adulteration.
