Itna Upazila is an upazila of 13 upazilas of Kishoreganj district. This upazila is dominated by Haor. 8 of its 9 unions have remote communication system. This 50-bed upazila health complex is one of the centers of health system for the neglected population of such a remote upazila. Through this complex, health services of the Government of the People's Republic of Bangladesh are provided to the neglected people of Haor area.
These hospital provides health services to the public at Government's fixed rates through emergency department, outpatient department, internal department, diagnostic laboratory test center, x-ray department, EPI vaccine repository etc. All the officers and employees working in this hospital are determined to ensure the health services of the people.
